Liseberg is a park for everyone. Since 1923 we have brought millions of people together to have fun. The park offers adventure, music, games, good food and beautiful gardens over three seasons: summer, Halloween and Christmas.
This place is definitely a must do in Gothenburg! We paid for the Christmas entry ticket as we only wanted to walk around and not go on the rides, this was reasonable at about £8. The park is decorated so beautifully for Christmas and really is magical. There is a tram stop nearby but it also isn't too long a walk from the centre. There is so much to do there even if you do not want to go on any of the rides.

Experience a magical, delightful day together at Junibacken - children’s cultural centre! Here you discover the world of the book through amazing exhibitions. Come and enjoy the spectacular peculiarities of Villa Villekulla or take a ride on Pippi’s horse. Watch theatre performances, take a ride on the Story Train - a fabulous journey through Astrid Lindgren's stories, or snuggle up together in the Cosy Corner of the bookshop where you will find a variety of titles in languages other than Swedish. Finish your visit with a home-made cinnamon bun from Junibackens own restaurant. Junibacken was built in 1996 on the initiative of Astrid Lindgren and is a perfect excursion for families with children in the age of 2-10 years old.
The place is magnificent. The kids will love it. There are lots of rooms with crazy / innovative ways of keeping the children busy and entertained. They also have a restaurant with really good food. Cons: A little bit expensive.

Please note: Due to the situation concerning covid-19, we only have our large experiment park and the new, temporary exhibition Dinosauria open at the moment. Our house is temporarily closed. We allow a limited number of visitors per day. Please note that you need to to pre-purchase you tickets before you arrive. Starting 17/8, our opening hours are Friday-Sunday 10:00-17:00. We have four floors and a park (open May-September) with experiments that children, teenagers and adults can enjoy. The experiments tempt us into learning a little bit more about technology, physics, maths, geography, biology, how people work, illusions, and much, much more.

Take a trip as a giant into the mini-world. Look at the trains, trees, cars and mini people living in the miniature worlds. Take a slow walk thru exhibitions of LEGO, tin soldiers and miniature models. Take the opportunity to build your own mini-tree och house, drive model trains, try to control a small robot och compete against your freinds in lifting real, heavy, railway track! Maybe you win?! :)

Went here mid July! Not so much for the Christmas feel but rather for some fairytale magic. The park exceeded our expectations. My 7 year old loved the stories and shows and my 11 year old who finds everything “uncool” was smiling. For my 1 year old it was a fun place and mom and dad was happy it was all well managed and family friendly. We are planning to come back for the winter to see it in snow. Advice, come as it opens as the storyline follows the day. Also most shows are in Swedish so non Swedish speaking may miss out on part of the details
