Cathedral is breathtaking. The service at the gift shop was very good, she told us brief history and answered some of our questions. Overall, great experience.

Every year more than 700,000 people visit Lund Cathedral, Swedens most visited Church. People of all ages and types are attracted here for a variety of reasons. Besides those who attend services or seek spiritual renewal, there are many tourists groups from different countries, school classes as well as visiting parties from other churches and congregations. Lund Cathedral was consecrated in 1145, and contains many well-known artifacts and features of considerable historical interest. Please don´t miss to visit the Cathedral Forum, Domkyrkoforum, a brand new modern building just south of the Cathedral. Here you can see two films about the Cathedral, drink coffee/tea, and get information.
This is a beautifully built cathedral. It is worth a visit with a day trip from Malmo. The interior of the cathedral is beautiful and you can visit the basement of the church as well. A must visit when in Lund.

The 72-meter-high tower spire of the All Saints Church together with Lund Cathedral's two towers is a well-known silhouette, visible far out on the Skåne plain. The church, designed by Helgo Zettervall, is built in a Neo-Gothic style and has around 1,200 seats. The foundation stone was laid in 1887 and on All Saints Day 1891 the church was inaugurated by Bishop W Flensburg. Since 1962 it is parish church for the Lund All Saints Assembly.

The church and monastery were at the time of our visit, very quiet, at a peaceful lake. The story of Saint Birgitta is very interesting. There are several nice sculptures representing her, one in ecstasy, another more realistic. The church also had fine altarpieces. The town itself is well worth a visit too, with wooden houses and a castle as a bonus.

For almost 800 years people have been coming to worship and pray at Linköping Cathedral. Work on the Cathedral was started in 1230, with the main building works being completed in 1520. The belfry and the west façade were added in 1885. Linköping Cathedral is the most impressive and expensive Swedish church building of the Middle Ages. Within the church you can see evidence of almost 800 years in which master craftsmen have expressed their faith in wood and stone
Beautiful architecture and a most peaceful of places, where you can saunter around quietly admiring the wooden carvings...ceilings and magical floors. You have to be respectful here...and it's a gem of a place about where you would not expect to see it. Free to enter but please donate.
