Snow Resort Yeti

Reviewed By drewboyc - Singapore, Singapore

We planned a winter holiday for early Dec in japan and knew that we would probably not get a chance to ski since most of the ski resorts only open towards the end of Dec.. I knew of a couple of resorts however that opens earlier as they used artificial snow to cover their runs. Karuizawa and snow town yeti as an eg.. I tried Karuizawa last Dec, and decided to try snow town this year. Boy was I pleasantly surprise by the quality of the ‘fake snow’ and the condition of the piste.. I was expecting the piste to be very icy, but to my surprise, it was actually powdery! The quality of the ‘fake snow’ was really good! They also maintained the piste through the day.. so when they think that it was getting too icy, they will make more snow and cover the entire piste with fresh snow.. overall it was really impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! It doesn’t come cheap though so be prepared to spend $300-500 for a family of 4 for the day..
