Elephant is regarded as a Royal animal in Thailand. The former flag of Thailand actually has a white elephant as the main symbol. Every year for the past 50 years, Surin province has been hosting the “Elephant Round Up” to pay respect and praise this giant animal. The event is held in November and it takes place at the biggest elephant village of Asia. There are many interesting things to be seen, such as the Elephant Breakfast, the parade procession, the football match etc. It is quite a spectacular sight to see so many of these big mammals all together in one place.

Excellent and unique--not your normal silk weaving village. Very impressive set-up! Highly recommend as you cannot see this 2-story weaving elsewhere.

As all Robinson’s stores around Thailand, very good, including Tops supermarket and various local market style shops

A big water park packed into a small space. My children aged 12 and 10 enjoyed four hours here recently. 3 big slides, 3 small slides, a short lazy river and a short salt water lap pool with jacuzzi (not working the day we were there) make this a fun place. Plenty of pool side seating on two floors ensure guardians can ensure their charges are safe, AND there are plenty of pool supervisors watching over the safety of all in the water (at least 5 or 6 on the weekend I was there). Food and drink is not allowed to be brought in, however there are plenty of inexpensive food and drink stands inside the complex.
