There are several higher end stores, i.e. Coach, Vera Bradley and Michael Kors. You will also find the usual. There are several areas that you can sit down on your shopping excursion. My biggest negative is that there is no food court. The only food choice is a pizza shop and pretzels.

Alum Creek State Park

We came to look for the birds next to the dam this last time, but have come here for events for school and church. Had youngest daughter's birthday party here one year in high school in a nice shelter house. When the kids were young, we camped just a day and night, with hiking, tent and hot dog and marshmallow roasting, and then packed it up next morning to go to breakfast at Bob Evans.

I try to visit Inniswood a couple of times every week to take a walk and take photographs of the changing scenery and flowers. The staff does a great job at maintaining the various areas and the beautiful flowers. Weekends are always very busy, but weekdays can be quiet at times although even weekdays can be busy. I can always find some quiet spots though. My favorite areas are the Boardwalk Trail, the Spring Run Trail and the secret Garden.

Highbanks Metro Park

Anyone who visits me is soon taken here to the park for a brisk walk. It's a several hundred acre oasis in the city. Just off of Rt23 and 750, it spans all the way down to the Olentangy river which forms its Western border. The park is a year round attraction with long walking trails, play areas for kids, picnic spots and more. In the winter, there is even a sledding area set up when snow permits. The visitor center near the entrance has some well set up exhibits about the park and the habitat it represents in Ohio. As with the many other metro parks dotting the city, this one is a treasure. Visit often and leave without a trace. Did I mention bike and pet trails?

Cardinal Shooting Center

Reviewed By rvkris - Cumming, GA

We are here for a National Shotgun Competition and brought our RV from Atlanta. We have been to campgrounds and shooting facilities all over the US, and this place is top notch. The campground alone is full of amenities, including cabins and facilities for groups to privately gather. It would be perfect for a group where some have RV's and others don't. With hundreds of campsites, there is a variety of heavily wooded, partially wooded, open gravel lots (where we are) that overlook the skeet fields, and open grass lots that overlook the trap fields. Some have full hookup, and others don't. There is an indoor pool, a corn hole game area, and other activity spots. The shower facility (bath house) is extremely well maintained and clean with individual shower rooms instead of group showers. For shooting, this place is great. Other than the sporting clays, most events and vendors are in one area. The set up is nice and the energy is high. Management is well organized and helpful. The area has ample places to eat, sleep and shop within a 30 minute drive. I highly recommend this facility.

Hogback RIdge is one of several Delaware County Preservation Parks. (Visit every one if you are able.) It is compact with limited parking. The trails are slightly improved. You need to be relatively able-bodied to hike. One trail segment includes steps up/down through a ravine. Got an hour or so? Bring sturdy walking shoes, your family and camera - and enjoy.

Hoover Mudflats Boardwalk at Hoover Reservoir

Reviewed By Thom P - Delaware, Ohio

The Mudflats Boardwalk provides a nice quiet diversion for an hour or so. The evening we stopped there were no other visitors. There are about ten parking spots at the entrance. We enjoyed a quiet walk.

The attraction is a long boardwalk - out and back - over shallow water and mudflats. There are birds and ducks to watch and other wildlife. Near the end of the boardwalk, a phone pole size stand is in the water to support an osprey nest. I'm not sure whether the nest is active; we didn't see an osprey. There is also a small fishing deck.

This is a great place to walk solo or with friends or to walk your dog. You can walk across the dam to a park, down steps overlooking the spillway and the water feature is pretty spring, summer and fall. There is a walking and bike path along the west side of the dam that goes a couple miles and is well used

We celebrated our twins 8th birthday at Sky Zone Columbus. The staff is absolutely wonderful! Our party check-in was easy and quick, even with ten excited kids. After an hour of jumping we headed to the party room for pizza, soda and cake! The pizza was delicious and our party hosts were the best of the best. They were friendly and upbeat, interacting with the kids and keeping the party moving. They set up the room, served the food and drinks and then clean it all up!
It was a stress free and fun experience for everyone!

Glass Rooster Cannery

Reviewed By Melyssa M - Columbus, Ohio

My co-worker found this place for a work event, I wandered up here a few Saturdays ago and brought the kids. This place was fantastic - not only do they have classes to teach you to can your favorite fruits and veggies, make soap, wine or dehydrate stuff, they also sell handmade canned items. I mean the real stuff like you would eat at Grandmas. The sisters that work there/own the place will let you sample whatever you want. I found my grandmother's lost recipe, checked out some homemade soap and had a ton of fun checking out the barns full of oddities, antiques and crafts for sale.

You have to check this place out; you'll feel like you were visiting Grandma's house. Check out their website for a class schedule or just stop up there when they are open on a cool breezy Saturday. It's worth the drive.
