I brought 3 kids (4,6 and 9 years) for just a visit as tourist, apparently my kids love the lagoon. Instead of only photo taking, we spent 5 hours here to enjoy and swim with the locals. Amazing torquise color of the water, friendly local kids, breathtaking views Please note when you go with family, please use local driver + guide to save your time of journey. The access to every spot is not that easy to reach.

A beautiful white sand beach, crystal clear blue water with epic waves. Great snorkeling, spearfishing and swimming too. On the western part of the beach, right in front of a new resort called "The Sanubari", which will be opening soon, you'll find a perfect left-hand wave where I had one of my best surf sessions ever with no one but me and my friend in the water! It is a very special and untouched beach, make sure you stay until sunset, its magical!

Mananga Aba Beach is a long white sandy beach on the north coast of the western part of Sumba Island
The sand is so smooth and so white, a very peaceful place where you can be totally alone for the whole beach with 4G Telkomsel internet. In addition to the cristal clear water and various blue colors or the pool, the sky and the ocean

Not to far from the Waingapu city.. easy access, relaxing beach to just sitting around while enjoying the View. People also go here for photo taking at the mangrove next to the beach. Just make sure the timing of the riptide if you want to Take picture here. Besides that, the local provide a toilet to wash yourself (very rare in Sumba) Nice beach

Bring your best sandals as you will have to go through 20-30 minutes steep and slippery trail. But I can tell you it was worth every effort. The lagoon was deeply enchanting with its peaceful surrounding and blue color. Unlike Weekuri, Waimarang has its water from natural spring water. If you are an adventure-junkie, you can rock/wall-climb to get into the upper lagoon that is said to be even more gorgeous than the lower area. Let the local kids be your guide, but don't give them money. Give them imported candies or biscuits instead. Or even better you can bring them storybooks to read. Sumba is still underdeveloped and we don't want the nice kids to be materialistic and rude to tourists.
