This 10 acre (4 ha) park is an area of natural bushland. The park contains one of the last remaining stands of River Red Gums in the Melbourne Metropolitan area. Thanks to the restoration of the area's ephemeral stream, the Red Gums now get the water they need to thrive. They can live for centuries. The park is open to the public, except where restoration work is underway.

This remnant grassland is easy to reach on the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail. Much of Melbourne was once like this and the creek is also a reminder of how things were. There is some seating on the Trail and plenty of shade from the ancient trees. Local "Friends" group activities keeps the area looking good.
