This place is a huge hit with the kids young and old. We have been coming here since it opened a few years back and even now, they love the slides and the climbing walls.
Parking is a nightmare on public holidays.
The setting is very relaxing with the river and the bike tracks around the Olympic park make it a full day of fun.
Go to the Olympic Park website to get the Bike safari maps and enjoy the excellent bike trails around the area. The signage is not the best so having the map is probably handy.
The cafe at the park is very expensive and the little coffee shack near the armory has closed down so the cafe is the main place to get your takeaway coffees. There is a kiosk near the big climbing structure.
The cafe has bad service but most people put up with it.
BBQ facilities are available but heavily used so get there early.
A good place to spend the whole day with the family despite the small annoyances.
To get away from the crowds, best to go bike riding around the many tracks. Very peaceful and good exercise for the kids.
Great place to shop for fashion and homewares. Ground floor has a large food court area and the homemaker shops like Sheridan, Sleep City and furniture shops.upstairs has a huge range of fashion stores like Cue, Portmans, Platypus, Puma as well as the more upmarket designer stores like Hugo Boss, Coach, Ralph Lauren and lots more.
Parking is free for the first two hours. Some great bargains available, Platypus has 70% discount store wide and Puma 50% across the whole store. We spent most of the day here shopping. If your looking for discounted clothes and shoes this is the place to come. Happy to recommend.

During the week there's trading from any early hour until the afternoon for fresh beautiful vegetables, fruit and seafood. On Saturdays what couldn't be sold to traders or individuals is sold off to all comers getting cheaper as the morning progresses. The prices are wholesale and well worth the trip for you weekly shop or your entertainment function. It's s great experience!

Having never seen a football or soccer match live, I found this to be a pleasantly good experience. It was a game between The Wanderers and Perth Glory and was a close game. I enjoyed the atmosphere and particularly the 'cheer squad' for The Wanderers who chanted the whole way through the game. I was also pleasantly surprised at how easily we were able to drive out from the carpark. However the crowd was only 12,000. I saw pictures of people trying to get onto the train nearby station from a 50,000 match....very crowded!!!
