Head to the Peljesac Peninsula with a private guide on a day trip from Makarska. Stretching alongside Peljesac Channel, which separates mainland Croatia from Korcula Island, the peninsula boasts a fertile landscape that produces high quality wine, salt and seafood. Visit the coastal town of Ston to see the great Wall of Croatia and an old salt factory. Then check out three family-run wineries or perhaps a coastal fish farm. The itinerary is flexible and can be tailored to your interests.

Loved this. Unfortunately it rained in the morning on the way to Trogir but our driver kindly lent me an umbrella and the Waterfalls were superb. 75 kunas to get in the falls as we were slightly out of season. Driver was great despite long traffic queues on the way back due to cyclists. Police seemed to close the road off very early hence the trip back to Tucepi took over 3 hours. Frustrating for everyone. Good value for the transfer money though.

Ivo was a wonderful tour guide. We contacted him late at night the day before we wanted to do the tour and he was so helpful and accommodating. Ivo is an excellent tour guide with exceptional knowledge and interesting stories. We would recommend him to anyone wanting to do a tour in or around Dubrovnik.

Visit Ston bay, Mali Ston, and the city of Ston with one of the longest city walls in the world. Have a boat drive through Ston bay and see mussels and oysters farms. Try some of the best oysters in Europe and famous wine from the Peljesac peninsula! The oysters are served raw - and that's the best way to truly enjoy their flavor, only with a bit of lemon juice on the top.

Based on TripAdvisor, I engaged Dino from Magical Croatia to pick us up from the Slano Marina and drive us to the airport. As we had a few spare hours to kill as our scheduled flight was delayed, we asked to make several stops on the way including a stop to see the old city of Dubrovnik, some panoramic sites and to go shopping all before we ended in the airport. Dino was prompt a courteous the car was clean and sufficiently spacious (we were a group of 5 with plenty of luggage). Dino, who speaks fluent English, made an extra effort to provide information along the way and explain the sites even though all we ordered was an airport transfer.

I've had the pleasure of doing 2 tours with these guys: the Dubrovnik city tour and the day trip to Montenegro. I have done my share of tours over the years, and I can honestly say these have been the most informative, well thought, entertaining and fun of them all. It is rare to find people born and raised in the old town of Dubrovnik and it is even more difficult to find people with the knowledge, passion and professionalism that Ivo and Stjepan bring to the table. I could have spent a week listening to the history of both Dubrovnik, Montenegro, Yugoslavia, etc and to all the anecdotes, facts and personal experiences. Truly outstanding. Thanks again for two fabulous days!

We took a walking historical tour of the old Town with the best guide ever, Nikola. He was intelligent and charming and able to bring the history of Dubrovnik to life for us. His family stories also illustrated modern life in Dubrovnik, which we found fascinating. Ask Andrea, who was great, for Nikola! You will not be disappointed.

Due to the lack of tourists in Dubrovnik, I had the opportunity for a private wine tour with Mario in early September. As someone who works in the wine industry in the U.S., it was a true pleasure to spend the day with Mario receiving an incredible overview of the grapes grown and wines produced in the peljesac pennisula in Croatia. We began the day visting an oyster farm where we tasted oysters fresh from the sea on the boat paired with wine. Not a huge fan of oyster's, I'll try anything and I'll say they were quite tasty. We then had three different tasting with three vastly different wineries, providing a lovely overview of the wine history of the region. I then enjoyed a three course lunch at a beautiful restaurant by the sea before stopping in Ston, a sleepy historic town before we made our way back to Dubrovnik. Mario is an engaging host who knows his wine and the region very well. I'll definitely be in touch when I return to Croatia hopefully sooner than later! Thank you for a fantastic day! Highly recommend if you find yourself in Dubrovnik and want to explore the local wines!

Lying on a small peninsula on the island of the same name, surrounded by city walls and fortresses, Korcula is one of the most beautiful medieval cities on the Adriatic Coast. The town is also the supposed birthplace of Marco Polo, the famous explorer. We did the island cruise and booked directly down at the old port. We were told all details, the time of pickup and gave our phone number (as well as paying a deposit). Our driver Marco rang the night before to confirm time for the pick up at our hotel, he rang 10 minutes before pick up to confirm he was on his way. Picked up on time we were delivered to the boat, which was a little way up the river from the port of Gruz, we were very lucky that our group was small and very multicultural, just 10 of us and the informative captain (and driver) for day Marco. Plenty of room on the boat, a very large coolbox with plenty of drink (beers, wines, soft drinks and water), off we went to Lopud for our first stop, time for a cool drink at the sea front cafes and then a hike to one of the churches on this beatiful island. (be warned although the directions are plentiful and give the metres - they fail to say the walks are almost vertical in ascent). If you manage the hike/ climb the views are amazing. Onward we went on to Sipan, straight out of a picture postcard book, the dinky little port is so pituresque - our group didn't lunch on the boat, as we disembarked Marco took us to the captains house where we had a lush 6 course lunch - awesome! Off we then trotted to out last island, Kolocep, we had just 45 minutes there, a beautiful island where we just took coffee and enjoyed the views. On the final trip back to port we were rewarded by a gorgeous sunset, A great finale to a lovely day.
