The capital city of Sweden combines modern attractions with historic charm. Kick off your stay with visits to Stockholm’s two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Royal Palace Drottningholm (the residence of the royal family) and the magical Skogskyrkogården, or Woodland Cemetery. Stroll the cobblestone streets of Old Town and over the picturesque bridges that span the city’s canals. The 19th-century Skansen was the world’s first open-air museum and is still a premier place to learn about Swedish history.

Although the actual building is under construction, a new temporary building has been constructed to house all the same vendors. There are all kinds of great Swedish food on offer ranging from seafood to meat to veggies to sweets. Many of the places have seating available when you buy some food from them. For a reasonably priced meal in a fun setting, this is the place to go.

This picturesque 19th century store and candy factory is the only place in Stockholm where you can see the traditional and popular manufacturing of the world famous candy cane, "Polkagris", all hand made of course. The charming little store is located on Lilla Nygatan 10 in the heart of Stockholm's Old Town, just a stone's throw away from Old Town's subway station, and it is full of beautiful and traditional tasty candy loved by young and old.Great gifts, tasty souvenirs!
I’m always looking for small souvenirs to take home and this candy store is perfect. Easily located in Old Town you can sample and buy handmade candies. A variety of flavors including traditional peppermint and ones like root beer and citrus are available. Items are bagged or boxed again making this candy store a great place to pick up some souvenirs.
