Enjoyed the service and the atmosphere of worship, encouraging Word and service. Mix of Swedish with English translation. Great time!

An impressive church, in a raised graveyard that dominates its small corner but, not being on a main road, would otherwise be easy to miss. It’s an unusual orange brick with verdigris roof and details so is visually very striking.

we visited Täby kyrka as we were exploring the Jarlabanke Rune Stone trail. It's a stone church from the 13th century that features some amazing ceiling frescoes from the 1480s by painter Albertus Pictor. There are two pieces of rune stone set in the porch wall that were inscribed in the 11th century that tell the story of Holme, a Viking soldier who died somewhere in what is now known as Italy after enlisting in the Byzantine emperor’s army. The church is free to visit though you might want to leave a donation - and there are some post cards and pictures you can buy near the entrance.

This old church is impressive and it feels so great to walk there and to see it. If the old stones could tell stories, it were .... there are tunes around it and ruins of huge old churches. Sigtuna is such a great place!

Dating back to the 13th century, this church has a distinct character and history. It is the oldest in the Old Town and is home to several relics as well as an impressive statue of Saint George fighting the Dragon. Storkyrkan can pique almost anyone's curiosity, not just the history buff's.
Visited this beautiful Cathedral and loved it although I would have liked to have spent more time. There is an entrance fee of 60 Kroner which goes towards the maintenance of the church. There is a toilet inside! In this Cathedral you will find the seven branched candlestick, the last judgement painting (1696), st George and the Dragon (carved out of oak 1489), the candle globe, the silver altar, the royal pews (1684), the pulpit (1700) the parhelion painting (1535) and the amazing Organ where the facade was made in 1789. This church (st Nicholas) was first mentioned in 1279. As you can see, I loved this visit.
