The Botanic Garden is a wonderful place to take a walk and relax. The different themed gardens provide a variety of experiences and looks. It's very educational if you like to learn about gardening and plants, as well. For example, before going to the Botanic Garden, I didn't know that many plants won't grow under or near walnut trees. The Botanic Garden had beds planted to demonstrate what plants will do well near walnuts. I have many walnuts in my yard, so this was very helpful to me.
Also, I love the addition of the model trains!

The new splash pad is very nice and popular on these hot Oklahoma days. Clean, friendly people, and safe. The walking/bike path is a little over 3 miles. Nice concrete with wooden bridges over parts of the lake. Clean restrooms on East and west sides.

Enjoy memory-making experiences and engage children in creative, developmental play at Oklahoma's newest children's museum, the Oklahoma WONDERtorium in Stillwater. The WONDERtorium offers 14 hands-on, interactive exhibits and playscapes plus special activities weekly. The facility provides 10,000 square feet of exhibit space, classrooms and party rooms, office space and a gift shop. The Generation Station Barn exhibit offers kids the opportunity to 'milk' a life-size cow and collect eggs that can then be delivered to the Generation Station Store, a replica 1900s grocery store. Children can also enjoy pure active play sending scarves and foam balls through A-Mazing Airways, splashing in the Water Play exhibit or climbing a wall, sliding down a tree slide and crawling through a fallen log in Forest Playground. The Little WONDERs exhibit offers a play area for grown-ups with children under two to interact together away from the main exhibit floor. Another popular exhibit at the Oklahoma WONDERtorium is My Medical Center, where children engage in dramatic play by dressing up and pretending to be a patient or medical staff. Patients check in with paperwork and can be taken to the doctor's office where they are measured, weighed and tested for good vision. There's a pretend surgery and recovery area, a human body with removable parts, as well as a nursery where life-like babies are cared for. A special unit block area allows children to learn cognitive skills like hand-eye coordination, spacial perception and problem-solving, as well as the Imagination Playground where children are encouraged to create structures from large foam blocks. Ruth Cavins, Executive Director of the museum, said the focus of the WONDERtorium is on children learning through play. Expounding on focus, Cavins continues, "Children's play is important to healthy brain development because it allows them to use their imaginations, solve problems and interact and cooperate with others. Our exhibits are designed to allow children to create and explore a world they can master, discovering self-confidence and the benefits of sharing and negotiating.
With practically no competition in the area, the Wondertorium leaves a lot to be desired. Entry fee is $7 per person, which is brutally expensive for what is offered. They have multiple small stations with different activities in varying states of disrepair. That being said, small children will enjoy the experience as long as the visits are infrequent.

Having spent time in Huge stadiums it is nice to have something a little smaller and more intimate. I recommend the game day experience at OSU to anyone interested in a fun college game experience. This is a very open and friendly campus with some beautiful landscaping and architecture. The school, Students and Alumni do a great job making this a fun safe experience. Coming from a Texas Aggie with arguably the best game day experience in the nation, that is saying a lot for OSU.

After 4 years of my daughter attending OSU and passing by this museum numerous times, we finally went in. Very surprised at all the information and trophies in this museum. So much information. Who knew one of the Baldwin brothers was a wrestler. Great way to spend some time!

I've been to the brewery several times, and the beer is always good. Went last Saturday afternoon after the spring football game, and service was absolutely poor. As is typical, there were three folks tending the bar, but I couldn't even get any eye contact for more than 10 minutes. Finally, one bartender asked a couple who arrived after me if they'd like something, and I just spoke up that I'd also like to be served. No apology for the oversight, no follow up to see if I wanted anything else, and no one asked if I wanted another beer as I sat there with an empty glass. As most bartenders rely on tips, they are usually very attentive and cordial, so this was a poor experience.
Maybe it had been a long day, but the two girls acted as if they didn't want to be there. I had planned to buy a couple more beers and a couple of growlers but ended up leaving the one empty glass and walking out. As I had been dropped off and my ride wasn't back, I walked nearly a mile back to Elm Street where Joe's, George's and the Garage are located. I'll try the Iron Monk again sometime, but for now, I'll go elsewhere to have a beer.

We were in town when they had their Civil War Quilt display. That was very interesting. The other temporary exhibits were rather small. Their permanent exhibits are just Stillwater memorabilia - that is interesting if you have family members who grew up here.
