What a great performance of Beauty and the Beast. Well acted, well performed by all. Very professional and lots and lots of fun. As ever Aidan O'Neill and Paul Laidlaw were perfect and engaging but for me, the star of the performance was Carli Norris as Maleficent - great voice, great comic timing. Please make this a must visit. All the hard work they put in really has paid off. It should be on every locals to do list at Christmas. We travelled from London especially as it really is the best panto around.

Fairlands Valley Park

We visited the park on a Saturday and Sunday for the first time whilst visiting Stevenage. What a wonderful park for families, joggers, dog-walkers and just relaxing. A real mix of open space, tree-lined walks and boating lakes. We were really impressed at how well maintained the whole park was and the real absence of litter and dog mess. Possibly the amount of bins available and the fact that they were regularly emptied helped. But it was also evident that the local park users were proud of the place and treated it with respect.

This is an interesting garden set amongst beautiful castle ruins and an a impressive house! The gardens are both imformal/formal and at the moment the collection of snowdrops around the gardens are very pretty. The entrance fee to the gardens is £5.00,and you find a nice tea room serving home made cakes, coffeeetc... I would highly recommend a trip here.

The cinema is very good. Especially now it has a coffee shop within it and even more, that seats have been put in foyer where you can sit and wait to be let into the screening of the film. Before you had to stand all the time. Sometimes the sound is too loud in the films but think this is the same everywhere, and sometimes it is cold while watching the films
