Social Cooking is a place where you can learn to cook by socializing or learn to socialize by cooking. Social Cooking wishes to gather people to share great moments, get to know each other and learn to cook a variety of meals and dishes, from homemade bread and cheese, to gourmet dishes and other delicious cuisines that requires advanced techniques. We will focus on health and use of local food.
I have joined a number of classes organised by SocialCooking ever since they started. The events cover a wide-range of cuisines from all over the world - taught by people who are not just good at cooking, but also knowledgeable about the culture and history behind the food! From my experience,it doesn't matter if you don't speak Norwegian, as the instructors usually can speak English. You can choose to go alone or with a companion, it is always fun and social!

"Boat life – it is pure bliss. For few people, there's nothing like a day on the water with friends and family, relaxing with the sun shining and cold beverages but for me boats have been a part of my life for last 32 years not only for leisure but for my daily travel. Yes, I grew up in an island. When I was a kid, I always dreamed about going to far-off places in that boat and with those dreams in my eyes, with my passion for boats and love for travel, is what gave birth to Gosta in 2017. At Gosta, our goal is to ensure an unforgettable experience for everyone who travels to the picturesque town of Stavanger. We specialize in handcrafted, custom and unique adventures in Stavanger, that aren't to be found anywhere. Our passion for travel is matched only by our commitment to those we serve. From helping our travelers choose the perfect trip, to providing them with the most authentic adventure possible, we go out of our way to ensure a travel experience unlike anything you’ve tried

Your Escape Game joy starts here! Think as a team and solve the clues. Work together to get out in time! Here in Escape Game, we will test your creativity.
We signed up without any of us ever having participated in a 'Escape Room' before. Safe to say, we were pleasantly surprised! We were met by a host who was super enthusiastic and welcoming, and who explained what we were doing very well. We completed the Chernobyl room which was filled with puzzles and logic games that tested your mind (and spirit!). All in all, I cannot recommend this event enough. I should also add that we felt very safe while being there with regards to covid.

Bardello, a neighborhood bar packed full of incredible cocktails, great vibes & killer soundtracks.
Cozy cocktail bar with a great atmosphere and fantastic live music, plus a great drinks menu. Helpful and knowledgeable bar staff and nice little boudoir areas if you want some privacy.

A Dynamic Museum for a Dynamic IndustryNorwegian Petroleum Museum is a museum for everyone. Its exhibits explain how oil and gas are created, disovered and produced, and what they are used for. The museum also provides informastion about technological advances and the way petroleum influences Norwegian society. Original objects, models, films and interactive exhibits illustrate everything from everyday life offshore to technology and dramatic incidents. The curious cat Petro serves as a guide through the museum's science centre. The museum was designed by architects Lunde & Løvseth, and is an attraction in itself. Its architecture is a scenographic interpretation of the Norwegian bedrock, the open coastal landscape and the offshore oil installations. Architechtural reviews have said that there is hardly a building in Norway which signals its function as obviously as the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. The museum was opened in 1999.
An absolut worthy venue to spend some hours if you are in Stavanger. A historical journey through the oil exploration in Norway and Scandinavia, which shows the troubled road from the very first endeavours to today modern platforms. Amazing setup, with show rooms and videos, even things you can try on your own, so live and near that you almost feel being there for real.

A canning museum would not normally be our family's first choice for fun things to do on a vacation; however, this place had excellent reviews and almost everyone said the same thing: surprisingly enjoyable. And it was!!! My husband and I enjoyed learning the history of the canning factory, but our kids LOVED this place! They loved seeing all the machines and learning how they worked, they loved the arts and crafts station upstairs, but they especially loved practicing canning with the rubber fish! And they decided to spend their own money to buy rubber fish and cans to bring home as souvenirs. We visited almost a year ago, and the canning museum is still remembered as a highlight of our trip (and the souvenirs are still played with regularly, too!) Thank you! :)
