Bahia (locally [baˈi.ɐ]) is one of the 26 states of Brazil and is located in the northeastern part of the country on the Atlantic coast. It is the 4th-largest Brazilian state by population (after São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro) and the 5th-largest by area. Bahia's capital is the city of Salvador (formerly known as "Cidade do São Salvador da Bahia de Todos os Santos", lit. "City of Holy Saviour of All Saints Bay"), located on a spit of land separating the Bay of All Saints from the Atlantic. Once a monarchial stronghold dominated by agricultural, slaving, and ranching interests, Bahia is now a major manufacturing center whose last three elections have been dominated by the Workers' Party.

We had a fantastic tour to Lagoa Encantada. Phillipe was our interpreter (English was excellent) and I cannot remember our driver’s name. The driver was the main tour guide. On our drive to Lago Encantada we made a few stops to see and try local fruit, sweets and a blue crab. At the lagoon we sat at a shady table on the shore and had a beer then placed our lunch order (chicken or fish/shrimp - we chose fish/shrimp) and got in the boat to cross the lagoon. The guy running the restaurant packed a cooler with beer and water that we took with us - we only had to pay for what we drank. The waterfall was warm and gorgeous with a farmer and his grandson there selling snacks and beer. We spent a while there then walked to another cooler waterfall with the option of swimming at both places. The boat picked us up and we drove back across the lagoon for lunch. Amazing day and we had a blast. Will use this tour company again.

Zentur and especially our guide Daniel (if you are English speaking and visiting Chapada Diamantina ask for Daniel) made the best of our visit in Lencois. Unfortunately the national park was still closed, which was due to our own lack of researching the area during the pandemic. But Daniel guided us for three days at other sites around the park. Very good communication and very educational. Would highly recommend.

She is the best guide ever! We are foodies so always exploring good and exotic restaurants, Ana showed us the best and non touristy places. Her tour is very well done, we saw the amazing points in this singular city. Also, she has optional tours that explain better the particular culture of Salvador. If we go back for sure will be with her.
