I booked with Wayne & Shakeira when I had some time to spare before my ferry to Bequia. Very glad I took this opportunity to have them show me some of the beautiful sites of St Vincent. I loved it so much, I booked them again on my return trip to St Vincent to go to the Owia Salt Pond. Highly recommend Wayne & Shakeira! They are dedicated, professional, and experienced tour guides.

The Botanical Gardens are one of the most important and popular sites in St Vincent. They are the oldest botanical gardens in the Western Hemisphere (established in 1765) and are also an important conservation site (particularly for the St Vincent parrot). The Botanical Gardens are in Kingstown, a short journey from the town centre.
Not the biggest gardens in the world, but well worth a visit. Recommend the guided tour, our guide, Cornelius was excellent. Lots to see from all around the world.

The Owia Salt Pond is located on the North Eastern Coast of St. Vincent in the village of Owia which is home to some of the indigenous people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines - the Black Caribs. The salt water pond is sheltered from the sea by the numerous volcanic boulders which surround it. The two hour drive from Kingstown along the Eastern Coast takes you to this recreation site which occupies a fairly extensive area of well maintained grounds which leads down to the sea where the salt pond is situated. Traditionally, it has been used as a therapeutic bathing pond. Facilities at the park include gazebos, fire pits, restroom and shower. It is the ideal place for swimming or a picnic.
I took a taxi there with Wayne & Shakeira from Top Dawn Taxi! Highly recommend! It's a beautiful, unique place to swim and a lovely drive through the countryside to get there.

Black Point Heritage Park is home to the Jasper Rock Tunnel. The tunnel is approximately 300ft long and links Grand Sable to Byera Bay. The Tunnel was built by the British Between 1812 and 1815 to provide access for Sugar export. Facilities at the Park include gazebos, washrooms, barbecue pits and playing field.
I when to Black Point really not expecting much....but when I got there along with my Friend/Tour Guide Jonathan, I was in awe. First we walked along wide extensive area with gazebos where persons were picnicking and having fun, then we reach the mouth of the cave and I was just sucked in, the waters gushing out of the rocks...going in further the bats added a nice touch. When we reached the end of the end of the tunnel climbed some rocks that view was magnificent. I love it. It was worth it. I will surely be back.

This small village sits next to a gorgeous bay.
The drive to wallilabou takes approximately 1hour 20 minutes from Kingstown cruise ship terminal. The scenery in St Vincent is quite spectacular and was a extremely pleasant surprise! Our driver was very knowledgeable about the island and took time to stop at intervals so we could take pictures of the breathtaking scenery.on arrival at wallilabou you enter a green gate leading down to a narrow lane and less than a minute you are looking at some buildings which were adapted for the movie, let's say in a poor state and in need of restorations. Within the main building contained props for the movie and several stills of the main characters....Johnny depp and co stars, there are also unused footage or takes in reels on the floor which I believe should be put into a glass cabinet or something similar, There is a lovely bay and a small beach which is great for photos. Also there is a bar/ restaurant with wifi and the local beer I can recommend! Overall I would recommend if you're in st Vincent do visit wallilabou and take in the sites you will not be disappointed !
