There are 32 islands and cays that make up St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Nine are inhabited, including the mainland St. Vincent and the Grenadines islands: Young Island, Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Union Island, Mayreau, Petit St Vincent and Palm Island. The stunning Tobago Cays National Marine Park is also located within SVG. This multi-island Caribbean nation offers a combination of rainforest eco-adventures, scuba diving, classic Caribbean powder-white sand beaches, luxury accommodation and yachting or sailing adventures.

This is a small inhabited island with a wide.and wonderful bay and is the launch pad for the Cays. The Island is about a mile wide with the village a steep few hundred feet above the wide sandy beach. We came via a cruise ship and pilot boat. Getting off the ferry boat onto the sand took some imagination and getting wet. The few local people make you welcome with sun beds, umbrellas. There are, however, some shade trees on the beach and incessant background music is provided by the local band. The local people provided bonfires, cooked food and provided the necessary quantities of drink. There are a few local stores and and inevitable dress stores which add a lot of colour. The sea water is majestic. This is a come again quickly place.

This pristine tropical bay and its beach are protected from rough Atlantic waters by a small piece of land that extends out into the ocean. Charming bungalows on the breathtaking Salt Whistle Bay, Mayreau, which National Geographic called "Paradise Found" and Conde Nast Traveler listed as a "Top International Beach." Spectacular, unspoiled views of the turquoise reefs, amazing snorkeling and stand-up paddle boarding (equipment included), and a world-class kitesurfing beach, all on site. The pristine Tobago Cays are a short 15 min boat trip. Enjoy the on-site restaurant and beach bar with a tasty, international menu.
We went here as part of the Yanis Catamaran Tours. The waters were crystal clear and the water was shallow enough for those who cannot swim to be completely comfortable. The sand was like powder under your feet. A must visit.

A Mustique beach that is popular with tourists seeking good swimming and snorkeling.
Stunning white sandy beach on atlantic side so some good waves for my child of a husband to body surf in. You can reserve a picnic table (your villa do this for you) and either take your own picnic or the villa staff will deliver it. There are only about 5 tables on whole beach so very quite. Most days we went we only saw a couple of people.

One of Bequia's most popular beaches.
Now most will have heard of Mustique but not necessarily Bequia (pronounced Bek-way). Both are part of St Vincent and the Grenadines, a sovereign state comprising 32 islands 11 inhabited. The island of Bequia was going to be a beach day for us and what a beautiful day it was too!! We took the tender from our cruise ship into Port Elizabeth greeted by the sign at the end of the jetty....Welcome to Bequia???? We had a wonder around the shops/stalls and spied some trinkets we’d purchase on our return.. My Tip.... After a nosey around the shops head for Princess Margaret Beach...as you come off the said jetty, turn right and keeping the sea to your right following a lovely walkway hugging the shoreline around to PM Beach, some parts of the walk are on a wood decking and there’s stairs up and down/around the cliff side with the right-side dropping to the sea below, it’s a really heavenly 15 minute walk as it’s such a cool setup/design. Once you round the cliff-face you’ll be greeted by this idyllic view of Princess Margaret beach. We continued around the beach and found some sun beds $10 each that were nicely shaded by the trees and while there had a couple of local beers at a very reasonable $2.50 each. It was a truly gorgeous day and we also had an opportunity to use our snorkels as farther along again were some rocky outcrops, which made for perfect snorkelling! There’s also a number of restaurants you can eat at when there... 100% worth a visit..picturesque!!

This excellent beach is one of the highlights of Bequia.
Around a 25 minute walk from the tender jetty and just beyond the slightly more colourful (and busy) Princess Margaret beach. Beach bars, restaurants, etc, at both ends. Another tropical paradise.
