Cumberland Island National Seashore Museum

The Land and Legacy tour is wonderful . Cumberland Island is a rather large island and to see it in one day you really need to take the van tour. Mike our guide was super. As retired educators we were amazed at how he delivered the history of the island from the beginning history to the present. His knowledge of the people and the structures at Cumberland were unsurpassed ,a walking history book was he!!! This tour is definitely worth the price and then some. The roads were rough but that added to the adventure of exploring such a beautiful place! We saw lots of wildlife and are planning on returning with family and friends. Thanks again Mike for making our day GREAT.

I am a tour guide in Italy with Rick Steves’ Europe and lead my own bus tours in the American Southeast. My home turf is a stunning region with a rich history that I feel is under-explored. I intend to remedy that with my tours.

This is a charming shop with many lovely gifts. There is a variety of items which I think ladies will especially enjoy. Although my husband purchased peach jam, a cute “gluten free” kitchen towel for our daughter and a blueberry scones package to make at home.

I brought my husbands nephew and his family here to the park so they could see the river and so the kids could play after being in the car for two days...driving down from IN. It was wonderful!!! They all had a great time!!! Playing on the equipment, walking out on the pier, running around the fountain and finally swinging in the big swings. This really is a beautiful park!!!

Crooked River State Park

This park provides good fishing, a Native American festival in August and a pleasant setting for hikers and campers.

Reviewed By mpm3 - Jacksonville Beach, United States

Crooked River State Park is a real gem! It has a very large array of facilities in the Georgia pines, spread out along the majestic Crooked River. There is a boat ramp, bait shop, large picnic areas, entertainment facilities, cottages right along the water, RV and tent sites, miniature golf, bike rentals, outdoor fitness equipment, a nature center, and miles of beautiful walking trails. All the facilities were clean and well maintained, and the park rangers and volunteers were friendly and very helpful.
