I am always impressed with views from the cliff tops,I have lived here 63 years, and I still take time to look! make sure the conditions are clear, you can see so much from the cliff top.Drive to Jerbourg point, you will end up in a large car park, look for the Germain bunker and the green rails, the rest is for you to discover!

I have spent most of my younger days on this beach, it has many fond memories ! This beach is so much nicer at low tide. My profile photo was taken 2019,in October I will warn you ,it comes with a price to pay,the walk is very steep down from the large car park. The views are amazing, and you wont be disappointed .I would not recommend it for wheel chair users or anyone unsteady on thier feet, it will challenge you.I now go fishing there, but it is still the same unspoiled beach I grow up on.You can check the tides on the local paper or the internet.

The old parish church stands in the middle of St Martin,I have been going there since school days,I am not that religious, but I have attended many services over the years, some very happy some very sad.The church stands very proud and has a great history,if you are the type who enjoys looking around churches, this one offers a lot of history, many old grave stones ,and family plaques .I recently went a family wedding,I really enjoyed the service, and the sun came out as well.

Sausmarez Manor is still the seat of the seigneurs de Sausmarez since C1205. There are a number of interesting things to do or see whilst you are there;- Historic House tours a Subtropical Garden, a Sculpture Park, a ride on train, Ghost Tours, a Short Golf course, Craft shops
Well this was amazing. On arrival Peter Sausmarez greeted our part with a lovely log fire burning away in the entrance hall on this dark evening. A full evening tour of the main house with loads of personal ghoulish stories of the haunted house finished with a glass of wine or soft drink. The tour lasted 1.5hrs and was not only presented in a true personal way by a true Guernsey Gentleman, but was excellent value for money. Whilst taking photos, one of which was of Peter Sausmarez the photo actually disappeared off my phone whilst viewing it, which was witnessed by one of my party. This did seem to even make Peter a little wary ????

By far my most favorite local gin, Rock Samphire & Pink Grapefruit was my favorite but the mix they did (% donated to our local football team) the GFC Blend from Wheadon's Gin knocked Pink Grapefruit off the top.
