Clarkes' Golf

Reviewed By AndieDealing - Liverpool, United Kingdom

Visited Clarke’s Golf today after seeing it advertised on a community page on Facebook. It’s easy to find & easy to park - you pay at the lodge where there is a small shop serving drinks & snacks. A family ticket (there were 2 adults & 2 teens) cost £17.50. The course itself is stunning - 18 holes of immaculately kept greens (very tidy with bins around the course) and varying in difficulty. There are benches scattered around the course for weary legs & I’d advise sunscreen & water on hot days like today. Our family certainly had lots of fun & we had a fantastic time here. An ever bigger bonus was that I got 2 holes in 1 - so I was very happy with that - and I got the best score in the family lol.

Houghwood Golf

Magnificent panoramic views over the Lancashire plain and the Welsh hills makes Houghwood an interesting course to play. At par 71 and 6388 yards for men, and 5341 yards par 71 for ladies, it provides a stimulating and pleasurable test of skill. The large greens built to USGA specification are probably the finest in the area and a permanent track allows the use of the large fleet of buggies and trolleys the whole year round. Visitors whether groups, societies or individuals are all welcome at Houghwood. Please note we are a soft spike course.

I've just got back from spikes bar I had small breakfast, it was by far the best breaky I've had & I love a breaky, every single item was top quality cooked fresh & to perfection. My wife had the soup & sandwich again it was fantastic. So if you like a good breakfast give it a try, you'll not be disappointed.
