This is a religious place of Roman Catholic believers. A Shrine built after the 2nd world war as a gratitude to mother Mary for her intercession in protecting Sri Lanka from the acts of war. Very tranquil place to visit, meditate and venerate.

We went a pilgrimage to the church with our family it’s a wonderful place with many prayers and a part time blessing with a bath in the sea. Also went to forest church st. Anthony’s. Lovely church rooms and houses with all the facilities for a pilgrimage.
