Discover an exciting and educational outdoor adventure at the Elmvale Jungle Zoo. Walk along shaded and winding trails. View majestic lions, tigers and jaguars. Delight in the playful antics of monkeys and lemurs. Watch the mischievous baby animals play. Admire the beauty of rare and exotic birds and other wildlife in the natural surroundings of the park's 25 acres.
This is my third visit to the Elmvale Zoo and this time took family members from both sides of the spectrum: 10 year old niece and my 80 year old father. Grounds were tidy and paths were like a conservation area in some places (very pretty/tranquil but could easily push a wheelchair) There are also several nice shaded rest/picnic areas. They have a great variety of animals...from lemurs to tortoises to giraffes and zebras. And if you love lemurs...you should not miss this. You can see all of their animals and take some great pics up close (unlike your big city zoos) and also get a chance to feed many of the animals. (The giraffes seem to love bananas - which they eat right out of your hands.....very cool!!). NOTE: For the safety of their animals, you have to purchase the food from the zoo - but it is very reasonable: $4 for a banana and an edible cone of pellets). They also have a food stand for visitors with standard fare (fries/poutine, hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, onion rings, etc), All very good and reasonably priced. A pleasant 1/2 day event - with something that everyone will enjoy. Will definitely go back again and would highly recommend to anyone!

Great produce and well run family business. I notice that most of the not-so-good comments have to do with kid numbers per adult and refundable entrance fee. Well, as someone at the other end of the issue, I'm very glad that they keep tabs on out of control kids and folks just coming for the 'entertainment... This is not Wonderland! Keep up the good work Barrie Hill!

Fabulous place to look back at history. Great place to take the kids. History is all over this soil. The great fur trades and miles of portage.
