The Official Simpsons Mural

Welcome to Springfield, Oregon, home of the official Simpsons mural! Unveiled on August 25, 2014, this is the first mural created through a partnership between The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and any city. It will always be the first – so don’t even go there other Springfields! This mural is the product of several years of work between City officials and Matt’s staff at 20th Century Fox brainstorming a number of ideas to best celebrate Matt Groening’s Oregon roots and his connection to Springfield, Oregon. In the end, the City thought public art would be the perfect venue and Matt agreed. We hope you enjoy the mural and your visit to downtown Springfield, Oregon.

Dorris Ranch

Explore Oregon's oldest working filbert farm! Dorris Ranch's 258 encompass 11 hazelnut orchards (local folks call them filberts), native oak savannah, riverside habitats and secluded trails. This is the western terminus of the four-mile paved Middle Fork Path.

There are awesome trails, all though the filbert fields that run into trails short (returns to fields) and long that run along the river all the way to Eugene. The only thing to note, it the steep trail from the parking lot to the fields. There is a s couple of lovely open grass area, one bench for seating at the top and past the barn, at the base of the fields (still a little walk).
