Hridaya Yoga sits atop an attractive hill with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. Our four yoga halls and our sustainably-built accommodations offer an atmosphere of serenity and comfort. In addition to daily meditations and Hatha Yoga, we offer monthly Yoga Retreats as well as Silent Retreats. The Center boasts an active calendar of supplementary events, including workshops, bhajans and ecstatic dance. Hridaya Yoga's vegan dining room offers delicious meals at affordable prices, made and served with love. We warmly invite you to join us in Mazunte, and on the path of the Spiritual Heart.
I don’t understand how anyone could leave a negative review of this retreat. My experience here was life changing and one that I will cherish forever. Everyone’s intentions are pure and heartfelt. The teachings and teachers try to help you in any way they can along your spiritual path while teaching you how to mediate with an open heart and so much more. There is magic that happens in the room and it truly is gift from God if you allow yourself to be open to what they have to offer. I will forever be indebted to Hridaya Yoga and their teachers for all the help and love they showed me during the part of my journey with them. Thank you for genuinely caring about all of us and guiding us along the path to unconditional love.

The Oaxaca Lending Library is a must visit in Oaxaca when it is operating normally. Currently it is limited to M-SAT 10-1 for checking out books, returning books, becoming a member, or buying books. Visitors may browse the collection individually for 20 minutes on a first come- first served basis. The collection totals more than 30 000 books and hundreds of original DVDs. The Library website oaxlibrary.org has information of events and a link to the on-line catalog. In normal times, the Library offers dozens of talks, events, programs, a snack bar and the invaluable Saturday intercambio where visitors can meet with Mexicans to practice Spanish and help them with their English. During the pandemic, the Saturday intercambio is continuing on-line and you can get info from [email protected]. Although it is primarily an English library, it has a large Mexican membership, and a large Spanish collection as well as a Libros Para Pueblos children's library. The Library gives free membership to Mexican students and children so your membership helps the Oaxaca community. During the pandemic, visitors must use masks and will have hand gel on arrival as well as their temperature taken. Last but not least, the Library is THE place to learn about Oaxaca from expats who live here -- references for doctors, rentals, restaurants, sight-seeing, you name it. The off-street entrance currently is busy with construction which hopefully will end with the pandemic.
