When the sun is shining and you pop your earphones in and take a walk along Belton hill up top, it’s not overly long but the views and nature are breath taking, along with some furry friends popping out along the way. Benches are placed along your walk so you can sit and take it all in whilst catching some rays. We do have some beautiful views in Leigh the estuary and old Leigh with all the boats are just so worth just sitting and taking it all in.

With councils selling land to developers to build and the expansion of home creation this little green spot is a gem. A local group called SHIP are the main force behind its upkeep and cleanliness. They do a great job of clearing away cans, fag butts, fast food rubbish, used needles and the likes of. This is now a good place to walk and take in a bit of nature and relax. I personally believe the council has very little interest in investing in green spaces and the removal of toilet facilities, janitors and park wardens is testament to this. The local group are amazing for protecting our dwindling spaces and it's up to us, the local residents to use the space and help keep it clean.

This is only a very short walk from the high street by the royals shopping centre and is worth a visit as it offers fantastic views across the estuary .A good place to walk dogs and there is a statute of queen Victoria plus the war memorial to see. There is a cliff lift run by volunteers which I think is only a 50p donation which will take you down to the beach .

Love Leigh library gardens, it’s one of those few charming places that are still around. Very tranquil and still has that old time period factor, attChilling relaxing, just sitting in there is glorious. Took my niece, when the weather was warm, we grabbed a sandwich, a cake and a drink from the homemade bakery opposite, just sat there and took in all the surroundings attached is the elegant Leigh library building which stands looking magnificent. We Looked at the plants and wildlife, watch the squirrels explore, then had a little explore ourselves, attached is a little park with swing etc, placed a rock for others to find and all whilst taking in the glorious sea view, it’s just a beautiful place to visit.
