We were six people spanning three generations and had a wonderful visit. Sigga and her team were incredibly welcoming and Sigga makes fantastic lattes in the cafe. We all had a memorable visit with the horses, dogs, cat, and rabbit plus my daughters (9 and 11) and I each took a 30-minute private lesson to experience the magic of these incredibly gentle horses. What a treat to experience the tolt! Sigge and her mom were fantastic instructors and we all thoroughly enjoyed our rides! Thank you ladies!!!!

The wind, cold, and stoic buildings take one back to the past at the House at Eyrarbakki. We spent two hours walking through the varied exhibits and then spent another hour walking along the beach and exploring the small village. The remote location helped all of us feel connected to the south coast and the history of Iceland that, before, we had only been reading about. This enchanting site made history come alive.
