At The Arts Centre Mākete you’ll find local artisans showcasing their quality, handmade goods – arts and crafts, freshly made delicacies and more. Set against the backdrop of the historical Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora, the market offers a relaxing Sunday shopping experience in the heart of the city. This mākete, which is proudly supported by Christchurch City Council through the Enliven Places Projects Fund, runs from 10.00am to 3.00pm every Sunday in winter.
This Sunday only market is a small little market with vendors and food trucks. We especially liked the soap vendor. What we did like is across the street there are woodworker shops and souvenir stores in that little area. Also the building next-door has some wonderful stores inside in the upper floors. So make sure you explore the whole area when you go.

The Nelson Market is famous for its longevity and high quality of its stalls. For almost 40 years, market owner Nita Knight has worked hard to create a showcase of the best that the Nelson region has to offer in arts, crafts and produce. The market is enhanced these days with a wide variety of food carts, making it a wonderful place to meet friends and share brunch or lunch while checking out the array of goods on offer at this truly iconic market.
Really cool! Great diverse range of stalls. Lots of local food and crafts. Good way to spend a Saturday morning. Heads up to some great strawberries from Blenheim we bought there, delicious!!

Remarkables Market is OPEN for our 11th Summer Season, EVERY Saturday from 9am - 2pm until 17 April 2021. Please note, we will only trade this season when Queenstown is at Covid-19 Alert Level 1. Remarkables Market offers local and regional delights and goodies for the home for everyone - seasonal food, artisans, collectables, performers and more. Shop, eat and relax while listening to music in this unique mountain setting at Remarkables Park. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, relaxed, community atmosphere. As well as having fabulous stallholders selling high quality products, we provide several large communal tables with umbrellas, free sunscreen, newspapers, a sandpit and playground for children, and local musicians to listen to.
This is just what a great local market should be. It's not huge but the stalls are high on quality. Plenty of food, drink, coffee, plants, arts and crafts, plus live music to keep you entertained. A real positive is that all the stalls I bought from have the facilities to pay by plastic.

Perfect spot for a Saturday morning visit, with loads of yummy food options including specialty cheeses, breads, venison, gourmet burgers, freshly roasted coffee, etc. Even just taking some time to sit and people-watch is fascinating - lots of different types of people out with their dogs. Parking can be a problem, so arrive early. Well worth a visit.

The "Creative Queenstown Arts and Crafts Markets" are set in a vibrant colourful arena, where visual and performing arts meld together for the public and visitors to enjoy. We embrace the talents of many artists and crafts persons from around the South Island, some coming from as far as Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill and the West Coast to display and sell their own quality handmade Art and Craft. We pride ourselves in contributing to Queenstown's wonderfully relaxed weekends and being able to provide free local musical entertainment for your enjoyment.
We were really looking forward to visiting queenstown again, and even made sure we were there over the weekend to visit this wonderful artisan market once again, it did not disappoint. We especially love the creativeness of the stall holders, coin rings, green stone, hand made soaps, recycled bottle clocks, knit wear, photos, etc. The highlight for us was, Merino from June, (Addy & Budd by June), we walked away very happy with a merino neck warmer and gloves.

The Otago Farmers Market delivers the very best of what the region produces every Saturday morning rain, hail or shine. Situated beside the historic Dunedin Railway Station up to 75 vendors sell a delicious range of fruit, vegetables, meats, eggs, bread, cheese, condiments and yummy breakfast and brunch options including great coffee.
Highly recommended if you're in Dunedin over the weekend (opened every Saturday from 8-12:30 and once the country lock down is lifted). Located right beside the iconic Railway station you can pick fresh fruit, veg, meat and flowers. We got some cheap strawberries, blueberries and apples. The real find was the giant salmon we purchased for only $12. Chinese woman before us was trying to barter by offering $10...didn't realize southeast Asia rules of trade don't apply in NZ. My wife got ingredients like onion and garlic to cook the salmon back at our hostel. **there is a truck that sells good souvenirs. Be sure to get your free magnet.
