I have known this area many years, since childhood and seen lots of changes. It has now become a really tourist trap with little huts of craft work on display and for sale, food, the fish market is the best and service and the Crab and Winkle cafe excellent. New development of shops and food hall being built and it goes on with attraction. Really worth a visit day and night.

Once a busy industrial canal wharf, Hungerford Wharf is now a picture of tranquillity.
The canal trip run by The Kennet & Avon Trust is a must when visiting Hungerford. The staff are all volunteers and work tirelessly to provide an excellent esxperience. A BIG thank you to them all.

One of the best places for a walk in Hampshire, the spit offers fantastic views over the sea to the Isle of Wight on one side and Keyhaven salt marsh with all its wildlife and picturesque beauty on the other. Plus you have Hurst castle to visit at the end and if you get tired you can always take the ferry back to Keyhaven

Great place to go- so much to do- a fun throwback playing all the penny slot machines and then getting some fresh air with the lovely views outsides, listening to the waves etc. Thoroughly enjoyable

Well worth a visit to see all those windows along the centre of the wooden walk and to have a coffee in the southern pavilion which is a wonderful venue for weddings etc. My grandchildren love the amusement arcade to spend some coins on the many machines and then to sit on the many seats available all along the pier with an ice cream and watch the anglers.

Deal pier is very clean, and looks really good. It feels great walking along the pier. You get a real sense of calm and serenity, when walking towards the beach and the sea front.

If you're walking or cycling the Viking Trail anywhere between Reculver and Broadstairs, the Harbour Arms mini-pub makes an ideal stop off point for a beer or a coffee. Wonderful sea views across the harbour to the main sands and Dreamland.
