I go to the gentle flow class and it's fantastic. I constantly had muscle cramps in my legs, calves, neck - they were awful. Once I started Rebecca's class they disappeared. Rebecca is an angel and class is heaven (be prepared for a good workout)

Our family was referred to this museum because we were in town doing family history research. The genealogy room was in the process of being expanded because of lots of resources. Great experience, helpful people in the resource room. But the museum itself was a delightful surprise. Cool costumes of several periods of local history. Some military items. Great displays.

Reading the website it suggested that there were two races on 7/16. Showed up mid morning and the only action was a car or two on the circuit. Friendly gentleman at the gate let us in to take a look, the race started later that night. Left as we had other plans that evening.

The Prizery was named after the practice of prizing tobacco, or pressing it, which was done at this location. This building is now used as a performing arts center and it can be rented for special occasions. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the South Boston Historic Tobacco Warehouse District.
The permanent exhibit on the second floor is about the Crossing of the Dan, which is significant in the American Revolution. The exhibit for the first floor is about the building's tobacco production history.
I came to The Prizery for a wedding in June 2017, so I am not sure if they charge an admission fee. There are restrooms and elevators. There is no food for purchase on the property. Plenty of parking.
