The one and only way to experience Hogsback - Bicycle Rental, Abseiling and Archery. Mountain Biking: Our scenic bike route takes you past numerous waterfalls to hidden viewpoints off the beaten track. Take in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a refreshing swim in the rock pools. Picnic at Robinson Dam and meander through pine plantations along the old jeep tracks. Abseiling: Abseil down a 35m waterfall into the indigenous forests below - an exhilarating alternative to reaching the bottom of the famous Madonna & Child Waterfall. Archery: Looking for something safe, easy and fun for the whole family, then try your hand at the age old tradition of Archery.
We had the best time ever for my son's 14th birthday. Many thanks for yo kindness and adventure. We coming back for sure

Buffelsdrift Mountain Bike Park is located only 15km North of Pretoria and provides a safe and secure riding environment within the confines of the Buffelsdrift Nature Conservancy. Routes: 7km, 15km, 18km, 23km, 28km, 48km. Mix of Single & Jeep Track.
Buffelsdrift MTB Park offers a superb range of MTB rides for all skill levels. Trails are exceptionally well kept and maintained. All the routes prove to be scenic and some of them really challenging should you wish to be taken outside your comfort zone. The cherry on the cake for me is the fact that they went out of their way to cater for everyone. Take your young ones with you and share the fun of riding a bike in nature. Take the challenge and ride their really long trails – how about over 100km? On-site is a welcomed bike shop to rescue one with all those unexpected hiccups to get you back on the trails. A coffee shop that offers a great menu is also enjoyed by everyone. Visit their Facebook page should you need updates on the trails. When it rains for a few days, the trails might be closed. Trail running and hiking are now also open to those who prefer running shoes above riding bikes…

Cairnbrogie is so much more than just a farm...it's a destination! Enjoy spectacular views of the Plettenberg Bay coastline while mountain biking or hiking one of our numerous trails. Fish in the dam, enjoy a coffee at the pump track and take the children to watch the cows being milked. By supporting Cairnbrogie you support an essential conservation effort, The Robberg Coastal Corridor.

The Homtini Cycle Route is a circular route starting from Krisjan-se-Nek picnic site. Distance: 19km, circular (anti-clockwise).
If you're only here for a short while and you need to choose an MTB trail, this is the one. 19km distance, plenty of hills so come prepares. Seriously fast singletrack through the forest, lots of tree roots to negotiate, then the killer climb...I pushed up most of the way but is all worthwhile when you reach the top. Finishing off with a fast singletrack back through the forest to the starting point. Took me about 1h35. Get your permit at the gate, park at Krisjan se nek, near the big tree and start. Route is well marked. Do it.

Now one of my favourite short(ish) mountain bike trails - 24kms. You start in the beautiful natural forest and are quickly onto a sublime single track. Not too technical although there are some knarly roots to catch you out if your attention wanders. Then onto a jeep track before getting onto a concrete single track which takes you straight down to the cliffs overlooking the sea. A steep climb on loose rocks and then undulations on a jeep track before the trail goes back into the natural forest and onto a fairly technical single track before you return to the start. Best done with a fellow rider!
