Songkhla (Thai: สงขลา, pronounced [sǒŋ.kʰlǎː]), also known as Singgora or Singora (Pattani Malay: ซิงกอรา), is a city (thesaban nakhon) in Songkhla Province of southern Thailand, near the border with Malaysia. As of 2006 it had a population of 75,048. Songkhla lies 968 km (601 mi) south of Bangkok.

'Could have wandered around for ages and still be discovering new nooks and crannies, treasures and fascinating architecture. Welcoming and well-marked, this area of town is seriously switched-on to encouraging tourism whilst retaining its charm. Not to be missed!

You can pose for pictures with Nang Nguek Thong or Golden Mermaid Statue while enjoy a relaxing walk along the seafront. There are also plenty of vendors congregate along the beachfront, selling everything from cheap eats to Songkhla souvenirs.
