Phra Maha Chedi Tripob Trimongkol

Reviewed By pianocello - Shah Alam, Malaysia

This is a beautiful and unique temple that is probably nothing like other temples you have seen in Thailand. The bells are contribute to the serene atmosphere. There are a couple of issues you need to be aware. There is a wide open space in front of the temple where you have to take off your shoes and depending on whether it is a really hot day or raining could be quite inconvenient, Also as some have pointed, there are mosquitoes in the evening so take the usual precaution.

Hat Yai Municipal Park

Reviewed By Jeff_Proulx - Pak Kret, Thailand

Big, beautiful and lively in the evenings, this park is more than a park with a large female Buddha statue offering stunning views of the city as well as a cable car to the top of the mountain where a wat offers stunning views of the region. The park fills up with folks from the city gather every evening to picnic near the water fountain so we recommend going in the afternoon and ending with a picnic of your own from the food stalls all over the place. Enjoy!

Songkhla Zoo

Reviewed By WorldWideTravel88 - Bangkok, Thailand

Songkhla Zoo is a nice activity for a family especially with young children. They have a wide variety of animals to see, scattered over very large grounds. You can drive between each station because walking would be very far and especially with hot weather it would be exhausting so we took small breaks in the air conditioning of the car when driving slowly small distances like 150-200m between stations. Shortly after the zoo reopened after covid19 it was free to all visitors but they limited the number of guests who could come in, so it was quite nice and not crowded, for social distancing purposes. In normal circumstances I could imagine that it could get quite full and perhaps not as enjoyable as it was for us.
