What to do and see in Soho, England: The Best Food & Drink

June 2, 2021 Mikaela Didonna

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

My husband and I signed-up to a zoom-based Indian cookery class last week, and it was the highlight of lockdown! Cher, the tutor, expertly guided us through how to make a delicious cardamom butter chicken and our own naan bread from scratch. Cher was very knowledgable, answering all our questions and giving us really clever kitchen tips. I hope more classes come on line as I will sign-up in a flash, and get friends and family to join in, too, as it is a fun and wonderfully sociable thing to do. Thank you Cher and GHI Cookery School!
