We had a marvelous time on this tour with Lachezar Gudev as our guide. He guided us through a personal route on the mountain right to Kemendall viewpoint in witch he took our sense for adventure, our fysical condition and our disabilities into account. This way he made the road to the viewpoint at least even interesting as the viewpoint itself, which is really something you can not miss when you visit Sofia. We also learned much about Bulgarian daily life and the bulgarian filmindustry from our guide that also seemed to know a lot about other touristic places in Bulgary. In short we couldn't be in better hands during this trip that was a great succes with many thanks to this wonderfull man. We advise this tour to anyone who wants to discover Sofia and likes to be in the nature as well, as we also would advise you to turn to Lachezar Gudev if you want a good guide or some good tips for a trip in Bulgary

Vincent was a fantastic guide, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, very approachable. He took the trouble to find us as we weren't at the prearranged pick-up point due to National celebrations and increased security in the area.He gave us options for the day and was a good driver. He warned us that Boyana church visits were restricted to 10 minutes for all, but managed to cram a huge amount of interesting information into our visit. His knowledge and enthusiasm about Rila Monastery and the frescoes left us looking at other church interiors in a different light!. We wondered if he was a history graduate as he was so good. The cave was a nice short but fairly strenuous climb which was worth doing, and he checked throughout that we were all managing it. It was also interesting to see the countryside as we drove to and from Rila as a contrast from Sofia. I would definitely recommend.

Sofia is one of the oldest cities on the Balkans found by the Thracian tribe Serdi. In 29 A.D. Sofia became the capital of the Roman province of Inner Dacia. Through the ages, the city played role as an important trading center in the Byzantine and Bulgarian Empires. Under Ottoman rule, Sofia was the center of Rumelia province. Sofia became the capital of restored Bulgaria in 1879, with a population of only about 12,000. Today many streets, buildings, parks, and even whole neighborhoods preserve the architectural style from the turn of the century. Inclusions: English-speaking guide throughout the tour, Transportation with modern air-conditioned vehicle., Admission tickets for the Boyana Church and the National History Museum

I was picked up at my hotel in the morning and taken to where the bikes and gear are kept. Adrian greeted me with a warm welcome and I was quickly outfitted with very nice riding gear. Adrian completed an overview of the trip, a safety brief, and we were on our way. After a short ride through town, we were soon on the highway heading south from Sofia for about an hour. The traffic was light and this was a nice ride. We stopped at a rest stop and Adrian made sure that I was comfortable and that everything was well. After a quick snack and rest, we were back on the highway. After a short ride, we quickly exited the highway and the real fun began! The ride up the mountain was spectacular! Adrian kept a nice pace and checked on me often (as I had not ridden in a few years). After a 45-minute winding ride up the gorgeous hillside, we arrived at the Rila Monastery. What a beautiful place with a rich history set with high mountain tops in the background. Adrian, who had a tourism degree, provided a detailed account of the amazing story of the monastery from it's beginnings to modern-day. After a few hours strolling around the grounds, we got back on the bikes and went a short way back down the mountain and enjoyed an incredible lunch at a very nice restaurant and sat right next to a beautiful river. The fresh trout was delicious! The tour then took a detour to a very nice winery and I purchased four bottles of wine to enjoy with my wife back in the States. This was a beautiful place, set in the vineyards, surrounded by flowers, with the majestic mountains off in the distance. The last leg was very nice back roads returning to Sofia. Adrian stopped a number of times to point out very interesting aspects from the Soviet era, including an enormous metals factory (miles long), and a portion of the road we were on that, was actually part of an old military runway. The tour ended nearly 10 hours after it began, back at my hotel. I left the bike and front and Adrian returned later to retrieve it. This was a very professional operation and Adrian could not have been a better guide and riding partner. What an amazing day we had! I can not wait to return to beautiful Sofia and it's amazing people and take another tour with this tremendous outfit! Adrian, as promised, provided a really cool video of our day from his 360 degree HD camera so I may revisit the wonderful experience. Well done!

It was with great regret that we cancelled our 28 day tour of Romania and Bulgaria scheduled for May 2020 which was organised through Easy Bulgaria. Pavlina gave us the same exceptional service in refunding our deposit as she had with the organisation of our tour. Unfortunately, we will not be able to undertake the tour until 2022 but I recommend to anyone considering travel in Romania or Bulgaria in 2021 to contact Easy Bulgaria as their services will be in high demand as soon as travel re-opens.

Plovdiv was originally a Thracian city before later becoming a Greek city, and then a major Roman city. In the Middle Ages, it retained its strategic regional importance, changing hands between the Byzantine and Bulgarian Empires. It is probably the most visited city in Bulgaria after Sofia, and has always amazed all its visitors with the breath taking architectural mixture it offers. The Bachkovo Monastery is a major Eastern Orthodox monastery in Southern Bulgaria. The monastery was founded in 1083. Although the monastery survived the first waves of Turkish invasion in Bulgarian lands, it was then destroyed, but restored near the end of the 15th century. Approximate schedule, it can be plus/minus 30 minutes at those stops, depending on the day and the traffic: 09:00 Meet and leave Sofia 11:00 Joining a walking tour of Plovdiv 13:30 You have time for Lunch 14:30 We leave Plovdiv 15:30 We explore the Bachkovo Monastery 16:30 We leave for Sofia 18:30 We arrive back in Sofia
