Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington state's most popular scenic attractions. More than 1.5 million visitors come to the Falls every year. At the falls, you will find a two-acre park, gift shop, observation deck, the Salish Lodge and the famous 270 foot waterfall.
We were delighted to see Snoqualmie Falls!! An hour from Seattle and only 45 minutes from the SEATAC Airport, the little town of Snoqualmie is charming; the Falls are spectacular; Salish Lodge is wonderful as is the Dining Rooms at Salish Lodge. The Falls are 100 feet higher than Niagra Falls (but not as wide). They range from a two stream to a six stream depending on rain and control from the river. It's a gorgeous area with mature forest. It is well worth the visit!!!! Bring a raincoat as there is a spray from the falls or you may have a bit of rain.

After years of winemaking for friends and family, Mike and Ryan Seal, along with friend Scott Hussey, founded Sigillo Cellars in 2010. With the belief that Washington wine should be experienced, not just tasted, we have put together a portfolio of Bordeaux and Rhône varietals, plus other favorites available, to be shared. Please join us at the beautiful, family friendly wine tasting, dining, and event venue in historic downtown Snoqualmie, WA.

This is a beautiful little park. It is a definite treat for railroad buffs, but it is also great if you just enjoy a walk surrounded by a variety of flowers and trees. We always take time to walk through the park on a visit to Snowqualmie.

I took the King County Trailhead Direct bus from Issaquah Transit Center to the trailhead. $2.75 for the whole trip an absolute bargain so I don't have to complain about parking at the base of the trail. As stated perviously you do gain 4,000 feet in around 4 miles. Its arduous particularly on the Old Trail which takes a direct route through gorgeous forests until you are above the tree line. Then it opens out to crossing boulders on a designated path to a stretch of short traverses till you finally reach the top. Less steep taking the New Trail from the bottom but further to hike and this route is recommended for the descent. Overall it'll hurt the thighs and ibroprufen is needed for a day or two after but maybe I am too old for all this. Oh almost forgot the views at the top are absolutely wonderful.

The outdoor concert venue throughout the good weather months are a treat. Tower of Power has been performing for fifty years and has a funky R & B sound. Check with the casino for upcoming events.
