Slagelse Monastery is located centrally in Slagelse. It was originally built as Slagelse Hospital and was tasked with caring for sick and old. The oldest parts of the building complex are from the 1300s and later expanded greatly in the 1860s. The monastery today has 33 apartments and you can search for a residence on the monastery from the age of 60. All apartments have their own kitchen and bath
