A very exiting castle to explore with an interesting history. It is well explained on posters as you walk around. The view from the top is beautiful and we were sure it would be haunted by ghosts at night????. People in period costumes were selling wares such as local honey, bread and cakes baked from original medieval recipes and there was even an inn where you could get beer and sausages. Women sat and knitted and sold their wares and a blacksmith hammered in the courtyard. All this added to the atmosphere of a busy and productive castle back in the 1500s. Well worth a visit.
