For passionate skiing families and adventure enthusiasts alike, Sugar Bowl-Royal Gorge offers an extraordinary mountain resort experience with four great peaks, endless cross country trails, a world-class ski team and academy, and a magical snowbound village.
We had the most amazing Spring skiing experience last week at Sugar Bowl. From the lesson check-in at 8 am by Alex to our wonderful patient instructors, Tom and Robbie-we felt cared for and safe. We had a great day skiing the slopes after our review lessons and it was just blissful. We had a couple of falls but the rescue team was there within seconds to check that we were ok (probably shouldn't have gone down that Blue on my third run of the icy day!) Thank you for making our ski day so great and easy to navigate for people who don't ski a ton!

My wife and I recently stayed in Tahoe for our honeymoon and unbeknownst to us, we were 'in between seasons'. A lot of the snow activities were limited, but thankfully, Coldstream was still offering snowmobile tours. Because of the slow season, we were the only ones signed up for the afternoon session and essentially got a private tour! We enjoyed amazing scenery, points of interest from our knowledgeable guide Shannon, an experience that was both fun and challenging. My only suggestion to them would be to get machines that don't put out so much exhaust - being behind someone, you do inhale a lot!

Voted at North America's best ski resort for three years in a row and host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, the Squaw Valley legacy has maintained a vibrant ski culture and mountain energy that spans from village to peak. Its spirit of outdoor adventure is reflected by the views of Lake Tahoe’s translucent waters, and its inspiration is carved into the slopes of the Sierra mountains. Beginners will find forgiving learning zones set among dramatic alpine scenery, while varied trails, bowls, and chutes mean that advanced skiers and snowboarders will never outgrow Squaw’s progressive terrain. With consistent snowfall that stays around well into the spring (and sometimes summer!), Squaw Valley boasts one of the longest ski and snowboard seasons in the country.
