The naturum Vattenriket visitor centre, on the banks of the River Helge å, just west of Kristianstad railway station, is a natural starting point when visiting Vattenriket. Here you find exhibitions, guided tours and all the information you need. When you have visited the exhibition at Naturum Vattenriket and replenished your energy levels in the restaurant, you should take the time to explore the biosphere reserve. You can either make your own way to some of our 20 visitor sites, or book a guided tour on the water or on land. Our staff in reception will be pleased to offer tips and advice about excursions.

The unique island with marvellous beaches and hikes. From Torekov Harbour you can go by boat to the island. Since 2016 there is a hostel for anyone who wishes to spend the night on the island and experience rocks warmed by the sun at dusk and early morning walks in the magic-looking alder marches.

The rocky mountain creates a dramatic landscape with sea stacks, rocky hills and pebble beaches that lead the thoughts to the Spitsbergen. In the nature reserve many movies have been recorded over the years. The most famous movie scene is when death is playing chess against the knight on the beachmill in Ingemar Bergman's "Seventh Seal". In year 2017, Hovs halls were awarded the "Treasures of European Film Culture" venues with special cultural significance for the European film.
A magnificent landscape with high cliffs above the sea, moore walks, and a remarkable pebble beach. Take a swim if weather permits. And have a piqniq with a view!
