The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

Great to get back to Food Playground after doing a great class here 4 yrs ago. Love that you get a hands on cooking experience while learning about the food culture and history of Peranakan food in Singapore. Daniel (owner) is the champion of this meaningful social cause, which is to help more stay-at-home mothers return to the workforce by providing them with meaningful flexible employment opportunities so they can stay connected to society, earn some income for their family and regain their self-confidence. The class took place at the instructor’s workshop, so the atmosphere was quite warm and comfortable, and the organisation of the class was very professional. We prepped the perfumes together as a team and also on our own. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend this class to anyone!

We really enjoyed the cooking class with Shalu. We learned a lot and will definetly cook some south east asian dishes when we're back home in Germany! Thanks again Shalu!

Bynd Artisan is an experiential retail concept that collaborates with artistic talents, personalises paper & leather accessories and runs crafting workshops.
Bynd Artisan hosted a modern calligraphy workshop with Joanne of The Letter J; and it was a most enjoyable experience. Joanne is highly knowledgeable and passionate about her craft, and a great teacher. The workshop was hosted at Bynd Artisan's workshop studio space, which was highly conducive for the activity at hand. I recommend it to anyone - you'll enjoy learning something new!
