Silvassa Pronunciations (help·info); is the capital of the Indian Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.During Portuguese rule, Silvassa was also known as Vila de Paço d'Arcos, after the town of the same name near Lisbon (Paço de Arcos, Oeiras). The city has a large number of factories and industries providing significant government revenue, which allows the city to maintain a low level of taxation. The city is one of the hundred Indian cities competing in a national level competition to get the funds under Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission. Silvassa will be competing for the one of last 10 spots against 20 cities from across India.

Recently visited with family on 31st december, the park is good for a relaxing stroll, on the way towards garden from parking, their is flowing river with small canal built on the left side of the road, where you can climb down and enjoy, further the garden has musical fountain which you can enjoy in the evening, overall quite, peaceful and relaxing place.

From the "Tribal Cultural Museum" in Khanvel rode 8 Kms backwards towards Vapi on the "Vapi-Silvassa" road to reach Vanganga lake garden .Entrance fee to the garden was Rs 20 and on entering the garden was in the midst of a beautiful lake with jogging tracks and walkways along the 7 Hectares garden There is a small island in the middle of this lake which is connected to the mainland garden by this Japanese style bridge. This garden is popular among film makers for shooting song sequences .

Easily located on Gmaps and on the main road with small parking outside. Entry fee is nominal but only through Cards. They have a bus for bigger group and 2 Gypsy's for people of 4. The place is big with lots of deers roaming freely in their natural habitat. Must see place.
