1020 meters above the sea, at the gate of Trillemarka, the Madonna and the child look out over beautiful mountain areas with the Gaustatoppen in the west and Norefjell / Eggedalsfjellet in the north. Trillemarka is Norway's largest forest reserve. In the summer of 2016, Sherpas from Nepal began work on and paved the trail and in 2019 the trail was completed. It was the 10th anniversary of the statue and the official opening of the trail on Saturday June 22, 2019. The trip is a total of 6 km, 3 km up and 3 km down. There are 2 alternative routes, which you can either go as a round trip or the same way up / down. Both options take you back to the parking lot and are well marked. Parts of one route are handicapped accessible and at the end of the trail at Svarttjern there is a gaping hole where you can light a fire and grill. This is a tour that suits most people.

Chr. Skredsvigs hjem Hagan Hagan was the home of the painter and author Christian Skredsvig (1854-1924) and is the best kept Norwegian artist home of the golden age of Norwegian painting. Both house and interior have been left untouched since Chr. Skredsvig and his family lived there. His own and his art friends' paintings and drawings still hang on the walls, all together about 150 originals. Lake Solevann and the mountain Andersnatten. Hagan lies high up in Eggedal with a fantastic view over the lake Solevann and the mountain Andersnatten. The place still belongs to the Skredsvig family, but the municipality of Sigdal is responsible for maintenance and management of the artist home. Summer season Hagan is open for guided tours in the summer season and has new theme exhibitions with Skredsvig's original work every year. In the old storehouse from 1668 you find an exhibition and a shop where art reproductions and other souvenirs are sold.
