We have been visiting Hillsboro for a few days and stopped in Black Range Vineyards to try some wine. What a fine time we had. The wine was very good, the setting warm and relaxing, and the conversation with Brian and Nicki was great. highly recommended.

Had a one-hour soak in one of the private springs (Rio) overlooking the river and Turtle Mountain. Clothing-optional in the private baths. Great water temperature, clean and a fantastic view. The lodge rooms were booked solid but next time I’ll try to stay on-site.

Blackstone Hotsprings

Blackstone Hotsprings is located in the historic downtown commercial district of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico along the Healing Waters Trail. Our lodging guests enjoy newly remodeled luxury accommodations, with a custom tub for unlimited private soaking in each room. Since the town of Truth or Consequences is named after a TV show, each room at Blackstone Hotsprings takes a TV show (or character) as its theme. In these fast times, the nostalgia of a television show that you grew up with and loved can be therapeutic - transporting you back to a time when lives were somehow simpler. Rooms at Blackstone Hotsprings include: Roy Rogers, Babaloo, The Jetsons, The Twilight Zone, Golden Girls, As The World Turns and our newest room The Adventures of Superman. Each room includes original works of art, studio photos and posters, a combination of classic and retro furnishings, and just a little bit of kitsch! Both lodging guests and walk-in bathers can use our spa - The Wet Room - a tropical paradise, with water features flowing from the hot spring for soaking, steaming, showering and massage. The Blackstone courtyard is the perfect place to sit and cool after your mineral bath. Relax in the sun or in the shade, read a book, or enjoy the landscape. The Spa is open for walk-in bathers and tours from 9am - 9pm each day. We recommend you take a tour during housekeeping hours- 11am-3pm- so you can see a bit more!

Shattuck Vineyard

Reviewed By tryingtohaveitall - Columbus, United States

A college friend and I happened to be in T or C at the same time and wanted to catch up. In looking for a nice place to go and I was hoping for a patio with a sunset view, We saw the reviews for Shattuck Vineyard and decided to give it a try. We arrived close to their stated closing time so I was concerned they might want to rush us along. That couldn't have been further from the truth. We were the only customers when we arrived. The owners and friends/family were enjoying the gorgeous NM evening and gave us a hearty welcome. The owner's son (I believe) provided a very thorough, informative wine tasting with a plate of cheese and crackers to nosh on. We were given tastings of ~ 5 reds and 5 whites. Despite this being a small family run business, they have won prestigious awards in SF for their wines. My favorites were the red and white zins although I enjoyed many others. The views of Percha Lake and the sunset, were very pretty. Their wine prices were very reasonable. I like having a momento and was able to purchase one of their wine glasses for $5. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful which made for a delightful evening. I will definitely return the next time I'm in southern NM.

This brewery had a great selection of beers they brew, and rotating taps. We got a flight, a pint, and a growler to go and it was reasonably priced. Definitely try the green Chile beer!

I wake up to a beautiful mountain view every morning! I just returned from the showers and there was plenty of hot water and the restrooms are very clean. I am in the Palomino campground with full hookups for only $18/night! New Mexico state parks are the best value in the country! I highly recommend this state park!
