The Radway opened in 1928 and was planned to operate primarily as a theatre. As a live theatre it quickly failed and was soon altered to better accommodate cinema use.Whilst the building enjoyed a very thorough refurbishment in 1999 care was taken to do this as sympathetically as possible in order to retain its early 30’s charm.Digital Projection, 3D and Sound was recently been added.
Sidmouth is blessed to have this excellent facility offering a great choice of viewing to suit everyone’s tastes. The staff are brilliant and very helpful when I left my scarf behind. Silver screen selections are great value.

Sidmouth is one of our favourite places to visit and we often combine it with a visit to the theatre. The box office staff are always very pleasant and helpful when I book tickets over the phone. The theatre has a lovely friendly atmosphere and we always enjoy concerts here. We also took our grand daughter to see the pantomime last year and she loved it. We already have tickets to see the New Jersey Boys again and will be booking tickets for the annual Sidmouth Town Band Christmas concert later in the year, together with the Panto which I think our grandson will enjoy as its Treasure Island and he loves pirates!!!!!

Beautiful family and pet friendly pub set in the idyllic saxon village of Sidbury. Fresh locally sourced food served daily, be sure to enquire about our daily specials. We have a great selection of draught and traditional real ales.
This pub, although small, has gone out of its way to make your visit safe. There is a one way system in place, hand sanitiser everywhere and table service. Do book as eating area is not large but the food is amazing. We checked ahead and meat comes from local butcher. Website shows he uses local farmers with animals that live a good life, not factory farmed. We went on a Saturday, which is curry night, although other options available. The butter chicken and chickpea curries where very tasty as were the homemade poppadoms with two different chutneys. We followed this feast with tiramasu. Delicious!

My late parents always made a point of going to this splendid church when they lived in Sidmouth. It’s a fine example of a place of worship , with well kept gardens, and a lovely interior. It really is worth having a look .

Truly relaxing, grounding and healing yoga retreat, Tom and Lou were excellent hosts and I loved the classes at the yoga studio. I did 3 classes a per day, but also had time to explore the local areas. The retreat also included an afternoon at a hydrospa pool at a nearby hotel. I will definitely be coming back ????

We visited this event on Saturday, and it was a delight. There was a good selection of nurseries outside, and in the property there was an art exhibition, various games, and an excellent pop up cafe serving coffee and cake. There was also two wonderful talks given by two very knowledgeable experts, for FREE! All in all an excellent day.

The luxury HarSpa at Sidmouth Harbour Hotel is the perfect coastal Devon spa retreat. Our HarSpa, which is home to five treatment rooms, fitness suite, indoor pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room is open 7 days a week. Drifting down to an alfresco sundeck and heated outdoor pool, soak up the natural beauty of Sidmouth from the comfort of a sun lounger.
I had lovely relaxing day at the HarSpa Sidmouth. The spa facilities include an outdoor pool, a small indoor pool with a swim jet and a jacuzzi pool, an area around the pool with loungers for relaxing on and a steam room, the sauna is currently closed because of the covid restrictions. The pool and jacuzzi are limited to 2 people at a time (covid again) which, as it was a quiet day, was absolutely fine and meant that most of the time I had the pool or jacuzzi to myself. I was also lucky that I was there on the day the steam room was able to reopen (currently for pre-booked 15 minute sessions) which was a really nice. After a couple of hours relaxing around the pool area I went in for a treatment, I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I had opted for something new to me, a hot stone massage, it turned out to be a really good choice. My therapist, Mioara, was really lovely and definitely deserves a 5 star review, she talked me through my treatment before we started, then let me completely relax whilst she expertly massaged away all my stress and tension. By the end of the treatment I had a sense of calm and well-being that I haven't had for a long time, it was wonderful. To complete my spa package I met my husband for a very nice lunch of huge proportions in the hotel restaurant, which, as it was a beautiful day, we followed with a stroll along the sea front.

The Balfour Arms is a charming community pub in the heart of Woolbrook, Sidmouth. Food is served all day, every day from 1200 and includes all the pub classics, together with some specials, a seniors menu, special lunch menu, and a great supper club that runs from Monday to Thursday.
Couldn’t fault anything! A warm welcome, friendly and efficient service, lovely food. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return. Thank you!!
