Four girls mountain is famous for it's mountain climbing, there are 3 valleys in siguniang town, for normally people they chose to hike the Shuangqiao valley or Changping valley, it's take 4-5 hour hike enough in the park, not so difficult, case there is wooden path in the park, you can see some lakes snow mountain, you just spend one day in the park is enough., but if you like climbing, i recommend you chose Haizi vally and with local tour hiking to mountain, there are three options for mountain, frist peak second peak and third peak, all mountain are over 5000m , for the first and second peak it's very easy ti climb to the top, but for third peak it's hard. so if you have the chance to climb to the top, you can see totally different view. pretty petty pretty amazing!

Huanglong vally is much higher than jiuzhaigou park, around 4000m high. Normally you can cable car up to the top and walk down the entrance, if you do this way,you feel much easier. if you like hiking, you also can walk up and down , take 5-6 hours to enjoy. the most beautiful area is on the top. some blue some green and some other colorful ponds. it's wonderful to walk along the path and see snow mountain and beautiful water.

I visited here as part of a 32-day solo holiday with China Private Tours. I visited Siguniang as an alternative when Jiuzhaigou was devastated by an earthquake. It’s a 5 hour drive from Chengdu. I was promised a snow peaked mountain and as we drove into the ranges all I could see were craggy rocky peaks but no snow. Being October, I was wondering where the snow was going to come from. I was getting more sceptical as we drove closer to the destination and then came the wow moment. Turning around an innocuous corner, suddenly before me was Siguniang itself, with snow! Very impressive. We stopped at the lookout for photos but I mention this as there are food stalls there and the chicken and potato skewers are delicious. The actual nature reserve is a way further and like many tourist attractions in China, this is a shuttle in and out. My guide took me to the end of the road first, the highest point, where people are warned about the thin air. This is as close as you get to the mountain but the views are beautiful. This park is well planned. At all the shuttle stops there are different views with the mountain as the backdrop – it’s quite clever really. It was also a lovely clear day when I was there (not a regular occurrence on my journeys), though it was raining when we left Chengdu. It ended as one of the best days of my time in China, even though the autumn colours didn’t happen for me. The park wasn’t crowded, walking was easy, it was so peaceful and the mountain lived up to the promise. One slight warning – though I didn’t have any thin air issues at the lookout, I did get a massive height-induced headache coming back down in the shuttle. It may not happen to everyone but be aware it’s possible. That night I stayed at a hotel in the local town which can’t be reviewed on Trip Advisor. Hotels here are not flash at all. The one I was in was built overhanging a cliff, which while it made the view from the room spectacular, considering this is an earthquake zone, I’m not sure of the wisdom of this construction style!

Visitors can first walk on the top of the waterfalls through nicely built boardwalk before descending to see the falls. The scene is just picturesque and beautiful. Photographers need super wide angle lens to capture the entire Waterfalls. The newly constructed facilities after the 2017 earthquake is impressive.
