We had an amazing day On the water! Starting with a beautiful and historical tour in the heart of Trogir! And then our friendly captain brought us to a beautiful picture perfect location were we were given beverages and snorkeling equipment so that we could discover the underwater wildlife, where we were greeted by colorful fish and even a stingray. Afterwards we went to a new location, where we were able to eat delicious seafood or wonder of and explore this stunning island! Once again I would like to thank Miro our friendly captain for this perfect day!!!!!

Trogir and Split Private Tour With Dalmatia Concept Helena Gracin managed the logistics. Two days prior to the tour she emailed us. Since Nov. 1 was a National Holiday she suggested reversing the order of the tour because churches would not be open until after noon. Most shops would be closed so Helena brought us small ‘gifts’ from her shop as we started out. So we visited Split first, then went to Troger. Her last minute changes were excellent, and she reconfirmed them with us and her driver and guide. We had plenty of time at the places we wanted to see. Ivan, our driver, did fine by us and his Mercedes car was very comfortable. The best part of the excursion was our professional tour guide, Filip. Filip was simply wonderful. He gave us in-depth information in an easy-going enjoyable manner. He gave us a guided tour through Diocletian’s Palace and the Old Town of Split. He treated us to a coffee break before we again met up with our Driver, Ivan to continue on to Trogir. Filip again gave us a leisurely guided tour through this wonderful town. He bought us treats at a local pastry shop, Croatian ‘ravioli’. We had free time to lunch on our own before he met us again to depart this wonderful place. He turned us over to Ivan to return us to the port. Every detail of this excursion was planned perfectly and it made a delightful, leisurely day of touring for us. Having a private tour is wonderful, bu this one was the best we have ever taken. We were picked up and dropped off on time at each stop, but Filip by far was the best guide to spend a day with. We highly recommend this excursion.

We booked this tour several weeks in advance as our Zadar shore excursion during a cruise from Barcelona to Venice. Our guide, Martina and her driver Marina were waiting for us right outside the Zadar cruise terminal, so we got off to a quick start for the drive out of the city to our first stop, the Nature Park Lake Vrana. When we arrived, a park ranger gave us an informational talk about the park and the many types of birds we might be see. She also loaned us a set of binoculars for us to use during our visit. The park's boardwalk and elevated viewing stations gave us plenty of opportunities to see the birds, fish and reptiles that inhabit the lake. Our next stop was a nice surprise - Maskovic Han, originally built in 1644 as the summer home for Jusuf Maskovic, a dignitary on the Sultan's court and supreme admiral of the Turkish fleet. Maskovic Han has been converted to a hotel and was a good place for a beverage break. From there, we went to Viewpoint Kamenjak. The viewpoint includes a small memorial chapel for the victims of the war on Kamenjak. It's a short walk from the chapel to the viewpoint that overlooks the lake, the Kornati archipelago, and several nearby towns. Our final stop was Mas Vin, part of the cooperative "Olive and Wine." We were greeted by the friendly owner who told us how the olive grove and vineyard were created by clearing a wartime minefield. Now, thousands of olive trees and acres of vines thrive in the rocky soil. We were treated to a tasting of five different award winning wines and a delicious desert wine. We were also served bread, ham, and cheese that we enjoyed along with the cooperative's virgin olive oil. Our driver Marina kept an eye on the clock and let us know when it was time to leave to get back to our ship on time. Martina proved to be an experienced and knowledgeable guide. She knows Croatian history and gave us many insights into the local culture and traditions. We enjoyed this tour and the opportunity to get out into the Croatian countryside. We felt it was a better alternative for our day in Zadar than the "cookie cutter" tours offered by the cruise ship.
