40 minute drive from Shihezi is South Mountain in the Tian Shan Mountain range.A 50 metre Buddha has been carved into the side of a mountain and you can take the walk up to the Buddha and continue under a waterfall up to the half way point of the Mountains where you can take a horse ride with the local Kazah people and admire the spectacular views.Well worth the hike.
