Located in the south of China, the cityscape--Shenzhen-- is home to some of the most modern buildings worldwide. Although this area is largely industrial, it offers many tourist attractions, such as the Chinese folk Culture Village, Safari Park, and beach resorts. Perhaps one of the most frequented tourist attractions is Window of the World, which offers replicas of the Eiffel tower, the pyramids, and Taj Mahal.

Hiking Wutong Mountain is one of Shenzhen citizens’ most popular activities (and offers trails for all experience levels). It’s a great way to get exercise and breathtaking vistas. On a clear day you can see Hong Kong.
The climb/walk is not easy... Many steps... parts are unpaved and slippery... That being said- the views are incredible... You can see clear across the city to Nanshan... Bring sunscreen, water... there are places along the route for drinks and snacks

The park itself has a set of trails. You can pick which one depending on the length you want to go for. This is a great activity for a clear day. It doesn’t get too hot since the trails and almost fully covered with trees for the most part. The views are nice but I liked the trails a lot more. I did almost 3 trails looping around the entire park, totalling upto 15+ kms in 3 hours 15 minutes. It’s not a very easy hike. Wear the right shoes and not any lifestyle shoes that you can get your hands on. The trails are not marked very clearly either and English language signs can become non existent after a while. Follow the paved paths + stair cases and you will get somewhere for sure. Mobile connectivity is weak in patches on the mountain. Take a picture of the trail at the entrance point. Toilets are there on the popular trails. Water bottles are sold in very few places / I came across just one stall so carry your own and enough of it. The forest itself has beautiful trees and lots of Litchi trees too. Worth it to spend a Sunday morning on !
