The largest city in China is also its most cosmopolitan, offering visitors a chance to experience the past, present, and future all at once. The Huangpu River splits Shanghai into two districts: Pudong and Puxi. The Pudong skyline looks like it was ripped from the Jetsons, with the bulbous Oriental Pearl TV and Radio Tower looking a bit like a two headed lollipop. On the Puxi side, you can walk the Bund riverside district to get a taste of old Shanghai.

Set in legendary 1930s, the heyday of then-so-called “The Paris of the East”, when western adventurers rushed to Shanghai, Shanghai-Bund Musical highlights the restoration of the cultural symbols of the bygone days of the city, such as renowned elegant dress style, men wearing stylish silk hats, suspenders, suits and ties, women in Qipaos, gloves and high heels.

Joined the musical shows of my Shanghai Theater academy's musical theater colleagues, whose talent matches the venue quite beautifully! This is one of the most stunning buildings in all of Shanghai. Visited prior to September 2017 (please Trip Advisor team: allow the "date visited" section wider time frames)

SLEEP NO MORE is an award winning theatrical experience that tells Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth through a darkly cinematic lens. Audiences move freely through the epic world of the story at their own pace, choosing where to go and what to see, ensuring that everyone’s journey is different and unique. SLEEP NO MORE plays out across three hours in a vast building in the Jing’an District.
I had heard lots about this show but it was nothing like I had expected. It is an amazing immersive theatre show where you can get up close with characters and the set. It is so well laid out and the attention to detail is impressive. Time flies by. Would highly recommend this show. Cant wait to see it again.
