The historic Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café was built in 1936 to serve travelers along Route 66. Used as a model for Ramone's Body Art in the movies Cars and Cars II, it now serves as the Shamrock Visitor Information Center. Housing many interesting displays, there is also "Cars Corner" for the kids and grown ups alike with numerous photo opportunities. The center has an expanded gift shop and offers free coffee & tea along with free internet and encourages everyone to "sit a spell" and enjoy the ambiance of this historic icon along the "Mother Road".
This is such a cute little station, back to the 50's! Brought back memories! Such friendly staff, free Keurig coffee, great souvenirs, a "Cars" the movie section, the station was used as part of the Cars movie! Such a neat place to visit.

This small plaza is packed with interesting information. There's a story about a man who worked his way up from toting water to workers to being their boss. Another interesting story involves a young man from the community who grew up to be a pilot in WWII and once flew so low down Main Street that he looked UP at the tower.
There is a short description also about the building of the water tower. Take a little time and enjoy learning something new.

Take a break from I-40 and stop in to see this FREE museum that currently includes 5 buildings with an amazing collection of donated antiques. The volunteers are very friendly and have a wealth of knowledge regarding the artifacts and history of the region. Donations are welcomed.

We've been here before but it's always worth a stop. Where else can you find the Blarney Stone in Texas? Free and a good photo-op.

This was to be a one hour deep tissue massage. It was one hour ... that's the good news. The massage was very light, not even close to deep. Also, to my amazement, after only massaging my neck and back she was done! No legs, or chest, at all. Although the therapist was a nice young lady, I would not recommend her as a therapist. She only gets the second star because she was nice.
